Soup Will Heal You

There's what's on those blue recipe sheets. Then there's real recipes...here's a couple for you. Recipe: White Bean Soup - Makes 3-4 Servings Ingredients: 2 cups chicken stock 1 cup water 1/2 cup chicken 1 T olive oil 1 stalk celery diced 1/2 cup carrots diced 1 potato chopped 3/4 cup white beans 1/4 onion 1 T salt a few grinds of pepper 1 t garlic powder 1 T parsley Saute the celery, carrots, onion in olive oil til translucent (also the beans) Add chicken stock and water Add all the rest Cook a long time - over an hour so the beans will be done. Pull the potatoes out and mash them then return to soup. Recipe: Stone Soup - Makes 15-20 servings Ingredients: 1 1/2 gallon water 1 whole chicken 1 diced onions, sauteed in oil until translucent 5 stalks celery diced 2 carrots diced 1 pound potatoes peeled and diced ½ turnip diced ½ cups tomato slurry ½ cup black beans ½ cup kidney beans ½ c
